On November 6, 2019, the Passive Ultra-Low Energy Green Building Technology Exchange Conference, hosted by the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and co-organized by the Beijing Kangju Certification Center and the Passive Low Energy Building Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, was held at the Tibet Hotel in Beijing. More than 200 people attended the conference, including leaders from various levels of the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, representatives from the Building Energy Efficiency Department of the German Energy Agency, and representatives from over 100 participating organizations.

The founding meeting of the Molded Polystyrene (EPS) Board Alliance

Currently, the passive house industry has transitioned from sporadic pilot projects to large-scale development, and China has ushered in a golden age for passive houses. To promote and guide the healthy development of my country's low-energy building insulation industry, under the guidance of Director Zhang Xiaoling of Beijing Kangju Certification Center, and spearheaded by Tianjin Geyade New Material Technology Co., Ltd., and through the joint efforts of all alliance members, the Passive Low-Energy Building Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance Sub-Alliance: Molded Polystyrene Board (EPS) Alliance was officially established at the meeting.

The conference elected Tianjin Geyade New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. as the first chairman unit of the alliance. Mr. Dou Zhenhui, general manager of Geyade's business unit, was appointed as the first chairman, Mr. Niu Ben of Beijing Kangju Certification Center was appointed as the vice chairman, and Mr. Cao Hengrui of Beijing Kangju Certification Center was appointed as the secretary-general.

To demonstrate the alliance members' determination and attitude to provide high-quality products to the market and lead the healthy development of the industry, the alliance members took a solemn oath under the leadership of Mr. Dou Zhenhui, the first chairman of the alliance and general manager of the business division of Tianjin Geyade New Materials Co., Ltd.

The alliance is committed to promoting the healthy, orderly, and high-quality development of the EPS industry. Geyade will live up to expectations and actively promote related work in areas such as the development of new technologies and products, the promotion of outstanding enterprises and high-quality products, the drafting of standards, and cooperation and exchanges. It will advocate new trends in the industry, lead the development of China's building energy-saving EPS industry, ensure the sustainable and healthy development of the industry, enhance China's industrialization capabilities for passive ultra-low energy consumption buildings, and jointly promote the development of my country's building energy conservation cause.
